🎄…a few of my Favorite things🎶🎵🎶
Childcare has been a part of my life since I was a little girl. At the age of 10, I was responsible for my 5-year-old sister, and by the time I was 15 I was doing it as a job throughout high school and college. I was caring for babies as young as 3 months old. I took the role seriously and took notes on different parenting styles. Being in foster care also exposed me to different methods and ideologies of caring for children. The combination resulted in my parenting very differently than I was initially raised. Becoming a mom at the age of 36, and a librarian, I researched a lot, so when it came down to purchasing products I wanted items that would grow, in lieu of “seasonal” items. From the girl’s nursery to their clothes and toys, I am extremely selective in what I purchase, even when it’s a splurge item. Most of the toys they have had from 6-12 months to present, and they are items to grow with them.
With the holidays fastly approaching, I compiled a list of a 🎶few of their favorite things🎶on Amazon of the girls “free” play (must-haves) toys (items they have access to without assistance or out of their reach).

All of these items have been played with since the girls were about 1. Although they have an Amazon Kid Fire Tablet and an iPad, these are the toys that are always played with. So, if you are in search of some items that foster independent play, dramatic play, and STEM for toddlers these items have been CharlieB and Lexi tested and approved!
